Speaking for both coaches it was a wonderful season and a joy to work with all the guys. There was much to be proud of with regard to games, practices, and the improvement in many aspects of the game.

All 8th graders should start listening in the mid spring for the information meeting regarding high school soccer and plan on participating in as many events as possible to help your chances to play.

Let me reprint the announcement from the Weaver Game.

Tuesday night the Heritage boys faced off against top ranked Weaver in the championship game of the Heritage Cup soccer tournament. It was a game that was truly worthy of a championship. The Wildcats took the lead midway through the first half. The Panthers came back and tied it up in the second half and seemed to control much of the flow of the game. With the score knotted at 1 two extra 5 minute intervals were necessary.  As both teams battled hard and shot often the score remained the same for 9 minutes and 57 seconds. Weaver finally broke it open with a rebound shot in the last 5 seconds of overtime and took home the champion trophy. It was a hard way to lose but the Panthers and all of Heritage have much to be proud of in the boys soccer team and their season which ends up 8-3-2. Thanks guys!
